he is not expected to live much longer.
I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad a couple of years ago after a long illness. I understand the pain you are feeling. Even though you know it's coming, you can never be totally prepared for it when it does happen.

do any of you good people of jw.com remember going to a district convention and hearing that little announcement the chairman would make before the bible-drama started?.
it generally went like this: "please remain seated during the drama and please do not obstruct other peoples view if using recording equipment such as camcorders" and he would also say "please do not use flash photography because it distracts others and is of little use.".
they made such a fuss anyone would think we were all going to witness the second coming of christ, floating down on his chariot onto the field!

as i get older, i find myself enjoying the big band sound even more than i ever did, as well as the movies and radio programs of the era.
for some reason, the appeal to that era stops about mid ww2.
Me, I want to live in an era somewhere in the future, where we are not stuck here on one little planet. Do you realize how may medical advances are coming along very shortly? Our grandkids will live to be at least 100, and probably longer. They will colonize Mars, and move out past our solar system.

I've always been facinated by the American Civil War era. I would love to travel back in time to Washington DC during that era and see with my own eyes the "Blue and the Gray". Perhaps even catch a glimpse of "Father Abraham" and see what he really looked like. The photo's from that era did him no justice from what I understand. Even though it was a terrible time in history, It certainly changed the way of life for everyone.
for some time now, i have been becoming aware of with what great high esteem our british cooking is regarded throughout the world.
i am not just talking about botulism and salmonella pie steak and kidney pie, but the really traditional stuff, some of which is almost edible.
